We've reached a critical juncture. For too long our city’s leadership has prioritized “progressive” ideologies over tangible results, espousing rhetoric that caters to a vocal political fringe while leaving Portland in a catastrophic state of disrepair and disorganization.
Voting Portlanders feel disconnected from these irrational and unrepresentative policy decisions, unsafe in a city whose leadership can no longer be trusted to care for their most basic needs, and uninformed come election time when real change can be affected.
A prevailing sentiment has emerged among Portland's residents: regardless of labels and lip-service, local leadership continues to demonstrate a distinct lack of regard for genuine progress. The long budgetary shadow cast by compounding policy failure has left these leaders little to boast about, and the deafening silence that inevitably follows each new fiasco leaves Portlanders further and further disconnected from a system that does not serve them.
I will bridge that gap, fostering an informed and engaged community through a process of collaboration to create lasting results we can be proud to own together.
The task ahead is mighty and John can't do it alone. He needs your help to make sure John has the continued resources necessary to get the word out and secure his position in November on the Portland City Council for District 4.
The most direct way to lend a hand and make your voice heard is through a donation today, so click through the link below and help John bridge the gap!
Average housing costs are soaring, our once enviable system of public transit is no longer trusted as safe, and substance decriminalization is rapidly accelerating the deterioration of our public spaces. In the face of these failures, a clear call for practical solutions must be made, solutions that accept and meet the realities of Portland today.
Sustainable environmental policies that steward our unique wealth of urban greenspace; inclusive, ongoing community engagement that utilizes to the fullest the diversity of experience inherent in our populace; and an inbuilt spirit of creativity and innovation that is never afraid to ask questions or challenge the status quo. Only by embracing who we are can we achieve the future we deserve.
This election will demonstrate unequivocally that Portlanders are tired of politicians who have, at every opportunity, proven themselves out-of-touch with the needs of the city they are bound to serve, unwilling to take accountability for the consequences of their actions, and unable to course-correct in the destructive wake of dire results. We have an incredible opportunity this election to make our voices heard and affect the change necessary to revitalize our beautiful city
Let's show City Hall that a sea change, from ideology to outcome, isn't coming - it's already here!
The new districting structure shown above was adopted by the Independent District Commission in August of 2023, dividing Portland into four distinct geographical Districts. Who you vote for depends on the address under which you registered to vote. John is running in District #4, which includes Portland west of the Willamette and Sellwood-Moreland.
Portland needs John, not just his District! Spread the word to friends and family in the District that a vote for John in November is a vote that matters, use the Contact Us link above to learn about volunteer and endorsement opportunities, and use the Donate link below to contribute to the campaign. Every little bit helps, and we thank you for your support!
